'Plastic Wood' equivalent for gunmetal ?

I'm looking for the equivalent of Plastic Wood to fill small holes in gunmetal castings. Some of the holes are machined surfaces (oops). Is there a one-part equivalent for metal ? and will it need the machined surfaces to be etched for adhesion ? Colour is unimportant as it will be part of a painted object.

I have used JB Weld on many projects to correct flaws. It bonds well to the surface and can be painted or powder coated.

Almost any filler will work if the surface is only to be painted , for visible surfaces I have some powdered bronze which can be mixed with Araldite and pressed into the holes , when set it can be sanded down .
You could even fill the holes with soft solder or ,if the part will stand red heat, silver solder.

All of the better choices will be 2 part. If you really need it to be 1 part and the only real requirements, are it sands and can take paint then just use Plastic Wood. It sticks to most anything clean, if you've ever left a putty knife sit too long after using the stuff you know.
It is actually pretty tough stuff. Nothing like metal filled Devcon , or the already mentioned JB Weld.
But Plastic Wood will stick and take paint. But I'd use the JB Weld if you can.

I am with modelbuff in using JB Weld. I used it to patch an oops on my mill table, (bit too deep with 6mm drill). Clean out the divot (Brake cleaner because I had some) then fill with good old JB. Leave overnight to cure, then a bit of sanding and since JB is grey it blends in with the cast iron of the table.

One more vote for JB weld, overfill and rub down on abrasive paper.
