Here's one on Zee
Who even responds to a miscreant like me...

Must have a heart of gold
With a new baby in the mold

This is my salute to thee:

Ice in a single malt? Barbarian!
:big: :big: Just a 'Wee' bit Marv - it's hot here, and NO - Ice does not go in the 18+ year old amber fluid! - I have very much respect for it.
The only time in the last 10+ years I wore a tie was when we cracked the seal on a bottle of JW Blue Label...

Hi Arnold...saw this a little while ago...been thinking about how to respond.

High Road...Thanks very much. I appreciate it. I tried to come up with a responding rhyme...but I'm just not good at it. Wish I was there to enjoy that with you.

Low Road...What? A nearly empty bottle offered to a vodka drinker? :big:

I'll take the high road and mean it. Thanks. If it means anything...I'll have a shot of whiskey right now and 'share' with you.

And another thanks to you...Marv couldn't say it was 'barbaric'...he resorted to name calling. I have personal experience with that. :big: :big: He might defend by saying that 'barbarian' refers to method...but I won't let him off. :big:

Ice and vodka go well together. Now if I could find some anchovies...

And Bond is overrated. Just put the ice and vodka in a glass please. Any way you can. There won't be time to consider the benefits of shaken or stirred. :big: Nothing wrong about drinking something else either...don't want to upset those tequila drinkers. (They know who they are..or 'he' does anyway.) ;D. (Or rye, or rum, or scotch, or brandy, or...)

Thanks Arnold.

At least Arnold offered me a drink. :big:

It might be a bit dry like that Guinness I got once...but I'm developing a taste for it.

I'm okay with ice. It's just solid water. Extends the pleasure...2 sips instead of 1.

Zee, the pleasure is mine. :)

Needed a reason to have something tasty from my "special" stock :big:
Low road? - no ways; even the high roads have low spots. And potholes...

As to the name calling going on - that's just "Sticks 'n Stones" Rof} - or I have Rhino Hide for skin ;D

Hmmm.... Vodka and Anchovies.... Have vodka... In the freezer... The salty sardines are still on my shopping list - have been for a couple 'o months. Shops don't seem to carry it here....

As to the level in the bottle: That is a VSOB. (Very Special Occasion Bottle) - took me years to get it down to that level :)

And CC & Marv, Barbarian, Sacrilege - I know - only ice from filtered & purified water, and then I sip it down even before the ice contaminates it too much.

Regards, Arnold

And Z had to go and post while I was writing up this lot Rof} - just posting as-is ;)

Arnold..you need more special occasions! Here are some of my special occasions:

"It's Friday!"
"You're home!"
"Good-bye...see you all later."
"It's Saturday!"
"Happy Birthday"
"Happy UnBirthday"
"It's Friday!" (Yeah I said it but it's worth two...for one...it's pizza night...for another...it's Friday!)

I got more....

Thanks for pouring some of your VSOB. Means a lot.

Yep - know about those - regular celebrations :big: DNQ for VSOB (I'd be completely & utterly bankrupt in a week!) - but ordinary ones abound!
I'm a bachelor :big: - here are some additional ones of mine, but they don't qualify for VSOB either - cheap'o "quantity" helps though :big::
Clean the bathroom
Clean a bedroom
Iron some clothes
Bath the swarf magnets (The De-Burring tool is easy - he insists on a regular voluntary bath)
Wash the pots 'n pans
...
...

Now, one thing I pretty much completely REFUSE to do is gardening... A year ago a friend of mine pitched up while I was watering the cacti in the garden mid-winter - (well, the last rain these had seen was about 4 months prior) - He immediately left and came back a while later with a small bottle of Chivas.

BC1/Fooze: S.O. ??? ?

Hmmm Tequila... Now where's that slice of lime and salt!

'Nother special occasion coming up this Friday though... 3 consecutive weeks of leave; first time in 4 years! - That will be a VSOB!

Regards, Arnold

Arnold, S.O. is short slang of sorts here in the states meaning "Significant Other". Otherwise and more properly named 'the wife'. ::) Although in some certain situations that person has been referred to by several other titles that are best left unmentioned at this time. :big:

Cheers

Ah... - Thanks for clearing that one up BC1 - I _thought_ it referred to the the other-partner-in-marriage, but couldn't figure out the meaning....
Must have had a hydraulic lock in the grey matter :big:
