If this works, I will at least have a way to post photos. It is supposed to be the dissembled parts of my brain fart engine. This is one I built with no plans or sketches. I just cut away all the metal that didn't look like it belonged on a steam engine. Two cylinder double acting. 3/4" bore, one inch stroke, crank throws are 90 degrees apart so the engine has four power strokes per revolution. Steel engine block, bronze crankshaft, some aluminum and brass parts too.

Thanks, I didn't know that could be done.
Is that little green avatar a slide valve engine?

Nope, it's a poppet valve engine

I recently built one of those using a titanium poppet valve made from a piece of aircraft scrap. It was not dependable. My problem was that the valve seat was 360 brass and as the engine ran, the titanium was peening the seat causing it to get out of adjustment. As the seat peened the valve would try to open too soon.
I will make the next one out of iron.
