Odd number of teeth or even number of teeth

Hi All !!
I have 2 gear sets that have a odd number of teeth, can I use it for a 4-stroke engine (I'm doing a V2 engine) ?
I ask because most of them using the even number of teeth (14 - 28, 16 - 32, ...)

It doesnmt matter what the tooth count is as long as the ratio between the 2 gears is 2:1.

As George said, as long as the ratio is 2:1 it's fine, but if you have 2 odd numbers of teeth you can't have a 2:1 ratio as doubling an odd number will always give you an even...

I'm sorry, I said unclear. Small gears with number of teeth: 13, large gears with number of teeth: 26
