New from SoCa But actually living in the Philippines right now. The wife is a teacher at a private school here.
Have been living over hear for the past 4 and a half years.
I love the work seen on here. My machineing experiance is verry limited.
Played with my brothers worn out 1930 something lathe and a enco mill a friend had and sence sold.
Did make a few tools by hand in a class at Northrup University in 1970. The old hack saw and file bit but made some nice items.
I come from a wood working back ground but love machinery off all kinds. I dream on anyway.

Welcome to HMEM Roland

I don't think there is any such thing as limited machining experience.
I've been cutting metal for a long time but the still learn something new
about it every day.

Welcome to the forum, Roland. Maybe you can get some screamin' deals on Taiwan metal working equipment while you're in that neck of the woods?

Welcome. Don't dream....Just do it! The trick with this hobby is perseverance and acceptance of failure. Learn from your mistakes, ask questions and continue to make chips. This is a great hobby with great satisfactions when you build a working engine.

Welcome !! Trust me, I've made many scrap parts and I'm still a newbie at all this stuff !! :D
