OK, one question leads to another.

Up until I checked out the PM Research site, I only new about MPT sizes.
Now I see UST and MPT. The note under the tap and die description says they will cut either thread. What's up with that?

The more I learn, I find there is more to learn.:rolleyes:

kvom, thanks for the reply.

I just went back to PM's site and read the thread info link on the page for the MPT and UST taps and dies, which answered my previous question. I should have done that when I was there the first time.
I guess I can deduce that the UST is more versatile than the MPT, but the MPT would have a little less tendency to loosen??:confused:
