Hi All,

I just had to share this with all of you!
We were cleaning out a bit at work and i found something really cool that we have never used and will never use!
Not quite sure why they bought it but it was made in 1975 and has never been used.
The boss gave me the green light to take it home!!! ;D

It is a setting tool for setting articulators so that the labs match what the dentist has.
Anyway enough talk here are the pictures!!
Any guesses as to what i see in it??

In the original wooden box

I see a very cool tramming tool in there!!!!
Just need to make up a threaded post and it is good to go!!!

Oh and another item i may be bringing home is a Phase Arc Welder!
We bought a new laser welder and have no use for it!
The boss wants to think about it but i have first dibs on it!
Very similar to this one:

All in all a pretty good day!!!!

Wow. What a score. You better buy a couple of bushels of apples to take to work to keep the boss happy while he decides on the welder. :big: :big: I'm glad for you Andrew.

Cheers :)

Those microscope lenses look too good to throw away too.

Dumpster diving was one of the good things about working. I got some wonderful stuff that others thought was junk. Going back to Tech was a bit the same. All we old blokes got there early to scrounge bits of metal from the bins. Even short lengths of stainless steel TIG wire can come in handy (it hasn't yet, but I know it will).

Enjoy the gloat. You deserve it. Only groan ups don't enjoy the envy of those around them. ;D

Andrew,
An awesome score. Very well done.

Well its ceratainly a worthy addition to anyones "mad scientists" kit. Maby when Hollywood wants to destroy L.A. again with space aliens they could incorporate this device as one of earths secret weapons!

Thanks guys!

I did not even know it had two microscope lenses with graduations marked!!!
Should come in handy in the future!
And if not i have two extra Mitutoyo dial indicators!
