Hello Steve, When I saw the news that they are bringing back the contest, I got all excited and started to think of what I would build. Not saying I would win, It would just be a personal challenge for me to build something to enter the contest. Then reality set in, That means stopping work on my shay for a year. Also, raising my two young boys limits my time in the shop to two hours a day, 9PM to 11PM... If am not too tired. So actually finishing the project might be an issue.

I told myself, the only way that I would build something and enter it is if I built something/parts/apparatus for the shay that fits the rules. that way I stay working on the shay and if I don't finish it in time, No big deal, It will eventually need to be built for the shay anyways.

I see that they changed the size from a 64 CI to 216CI box. I just need to figure out what part/apparatus of the shay to build that fits the rules.

So after all the rambling, the short answer to your question is....

Maybe  lol

I would love to see how many others are interested in entering. I tried to get my father interested but he has no desire.

I have no plan on entering and no possibility of winning if I did, but looking at the flyer I had some inspiration of something that could be made and entered. So I'm keen on building something but it will never be entered most likely. I'm hoping it turns out well enough that I can be proud of it though.
