Lathe DRO question

How many of you have put DRO's on your lathe ? What did you use and how did you mount it? I saw how Gadget builder does it on his website. Any other mounting methods ? I really just want to use the DRO on the carriage axis. So looking at a 12" DRO like below.

I have a Harbor Freight 7 X 12 and do considerable small projects.
Here is my custom DRO install.

Without the DRO's I did a lot of measuring using a digital mike or caliper.
The one in the tail-stock really makes it easy to drill a piece to depth.
