An adaptor plate to mount a different oil pan cover on a 700R4 Auto Transmission?

ooooooooh - close, but no cigar ;)

its a thingy ......you know a "watchamacallit".......... :big:

Good luck with the installation! I hope the weather isn't too rough on you.

The weather ain't looking too promising at the moment, snow ans sleet predicted for tomorrow. Freezin' today, and hi winds, so I could be another week yet - life's too short to work out in those conditions.

At least the adaptor plate is ready to go.

Well now. I knew it. Got the wrong engine, but I knew that was an adaptor plate for an oil pan on some kind of motor.

I spent 4 of my earlier youthful years as a parts buyer for an automotive warehouse. It just 'came to me' what that was as soon as I saw it.

vernon I would compliment your keen eyeball as well, but I suspect- "you cheated!" ;D Don't know how exactly, but yeah. You cheated!

Hahaha, yeah, I cheated. I knew from an earlier post that he was swapping a Mitsu engine... so I went looking for 4G54 parts that had the oil pan bolt pattern... and found that windage tray with both available hole patterns.... and I've swapped a few engines...

... and, wonder of wonders, it worked! Engine still isn't in tho' :(
