Hi:
Its been one of those days. I have been building engines for about three or four years now internal combustion, Steam, and Stirling. The first Stirling that I built was a Scotch Yoke that came from Little Machine Shop.
Some time ago I decide that I would like to build a larger scale of the Scotch Yoke. Two weeks ago I set down at the Computer opened my CAD and started to draw up some plans for the engine. The CAD program is TuboCAD Deluxe 16 and Im still learning how to use it. I have only had the program for about a year and have only used it to draw up a few parts when need.
Every thing was going good until today and then things went real bad. I had just finished a part saved it closed out the Layer it was on and went to open one of the other Layers to make some changes to a differed part that I had worked on earlier (guess what?) The Layer was there but the part wasnt and none of the other 16 parts that I spent the last two weeks drawing were to be found all of the Layers are there but not a thing on them.
The good news is as I finished each part I printed out the drawing of it so at lease I have hard copy. The bad news is if I want to share the planes with any one I will have start all over.
I have decided to start the build and see how it turns out; I did get all of the critical parts drawn up.
We will see how it goes,
Richard
