Just following up and saying thanks

Hi,
A couple of months ago, I introduced myself as I started my journey into metalworking. At the time, I was just starting to think about re-organizing my shop to make room from some new toys, and figuring out what those new toys would be.

Well, I finally made some progress. Cleaned up my shop to make room, build some new workbenches, and got some new toys to put on them. Thought I'd share a couple of pictures. At this point, just got everything unpacked and mounted safely. Starting to clean off everything and do some initial tune ups. Should be retired soon, with more time to play.

So, thanks to those who shared their thoughts when I was asking questions earlier just to get started. I'm sure I'll have more.

I ended up getting a lathe and mill, along with a couple of boxes of doodads, from Little Machine Shop.

It's small, but it's home.

Hi,

Yep, had to move around my woodworking tools to make room for the new toys. I put together the work benches mostly to have something solid to put the lathe and mill on, and create some additional storage underneath. I'm thinking of adding a stack of drawers underneath, maybe 18 inches wide or so, for holding smaller things. Sitting on my table saw on the right side of that one picture is a chess board I made awhile back, with a little drawer underneath for the pieces. More and more projects I became interested in needed metal working tools, so I finally decided to make the switch. I've got a couple of small pieces to add yet, but it's coming along.
