Just a quick check as nothing seems to be going on around here, but is anyone in the Ely, Cambs, UK playing with models??

I'm not a million miles away in "sunny" Hertfordshire. (Other end of Herts to Cambs though)

Hefalump : I actual had the pleasure of visiting oxford shire IIRC something close to 20 years ago .Was at RAF upper heyford. Dinner almost every night at either the 3 horseshoes or the barley mow. Visited London and made it into oxford. And got to see stone henge.

I used to work in the boat yard at Lower Heyford, new holiday hirers I would take them up to the lock at Upper Heyford to teach them how to drive the boat :) I live about 10 mins drive away. Its not bad round here!

ED: I don't know if you know but USAF/RAF Upper Heyford has been closed for some time - they filmed some of the latest Bond movie there
 
I was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford in the 70's, when the F-111's were there. Lived in Duns Tew. Loved the local pub there. Two of my children were born while there, one in Banbery, one in Oxford. Good times there.
I was later stationed at RAF Lakenheath, so familiar with Cams. Went to the RAF Hospital at Ely to have a metal shard removed from my eye. Souvenir of working on a Mini in my brother-in-law's body shop in Isleham. Married a girl from Isleham and brought her home...
