might be a little off topic but it does involve an engine
a couple of years ago i bought a 1996 registered ford escort from a reputable but small local garage with full service history and a full hpi check certificate and took it back to the same place for its last 2 mot tests and really looked after the car inbetween this
today due to lack of funds i took the car to a mate over the street who did the little bits it needed for a pass and took it for the dreadded mot at 10 this morning
to my horror i recieved a phonecall from manchester police to go and meet them at the garage where the car was as they believe it has a false identity
when i got there with all my service history hpi cert and registration documents the police explained to me that the mot tester himself raised the suspicion after testing the car saying it was in far too good a condition for a 14 year old car with 90.000 miles and i had to prove the history of the car and its legitemacy
just goes to show you even get in **** for looking after things nowadays and you cant really have anything good to yourself without some git getting suspicious can ya

Sorry i don't mean to laugh but that is ridiculous you couldn't make something like that up i hope you got a big apology

got a free mot out of it and the police actually commented on the way i have looked after the car saying if you look after your car like this your driving must be near to perfect just wish evry motorist took it as seriously then there wouldnt be so many accidents on the roads
just hearing that was more than any apology could be worth

wow shes the master shes even beaten my 465000 miles out of my old transit i think i might treat my car to a full days worth of tcut and turtlewax this weekend lol Thm:
