searching for info on a broken machine and came across this catalogue for a 1965 machinery exhibition in Sydney found at users.beagle.com.au/lathefan it is an encyclopaedia of 1960s machine tools with some good photos of them it must have been an impressive exhibition with the number of machines on show and would be interesting if any film was made of the event. It is quite nostalgic as I recognized at least 3 machines I served my time on any way happy reading

Looked at the list of exhibitors, and although I only came into the trade in 1970, I had dealings with at least half of them over the years. A lot of the exhibitors have been leaders in machine tool sales right up to today, but some are names only from the past now, having closed down.
