I couldn't get The Hercus AR lathe, however, I found this today.
I offered the seller $1800 and he accepted. I still have to see them
before My final desicion. It sounds like almost everything are included
to start practicing metal turning and milling and are in good condition.
What do you think of my findings? If you could give me some advices to
watch out or if it is a bad or good choice etc., I would appreciate.

The lathe is a standard import 9 x19 current retail about $1000 the mill there are several variants from $1000 -1600.

so take the info given look up prices and specs download and print manuals from busy bee tools. look and see what tooling comes with the machines new.

IMHO these machines seldom have a lot of wear unless used in some sort of production shop. so look fro completeness of machines and accessories broken handles and and dents any sign the machine was dropped or something dropped on it.
Check for backlash and make sure the saddle,cross slide and compound move freely and the x,y and z move freely on the mill also make sure the spindles are not loose or wobbly.

I found manuals, though I didn't print them. The seller has manuals.
I found weight of machines. The lathe weighs 88 kg, the mill 270 or 180
kg depending sizes of motor. How could I make the mill into more manageable
sizes? I probably can remove motor and remove the column from the base.
Could I put the head on it's side on van's floor without hurting the head or
I have to put them together before I start driving?

Oh, I didn't need to worry about disassembling the mill. I have a trailer and
he has got an engine hoist, so the seller is going to help me setting the mill in my garage on next weekend. The mill comes with many end mills and cutter, a $300 worth vise, a set of collets, etc.. and the lathe came with many bits, turret, etc. Seeing what he has made, such as a steam locomotive, helicopters, I thought he is a very accomplished metal worker. I might need some more tools, such as a metal band saw before doing something with those machines, but I can start practicing with metals I am getting from him next week. He has a BS, however, he isn't selling it to me.
