yeah yeah ... typical Aussie saturday evening fare.... when you doing something 'special'? ::)

Actually that there feast would be a waste on me right now... lets say everthings a lil 'loose' at present.... been off work for the best part of a week with an almost fatal Man Cold..... :'( (man colds are the very worste type of cold... women almost never get them... so they dont understand....)

You should 'ave been 'ere Wednesday, I had 4 slabs of barra on there that completely covered the hotplate. Guaranteed to cure any known illness including Man Cold.

aaarghh... and no invite! Id have swum your bushfire for a smell of that!...

Looks fantastic Tel! Thm:

It's a little to cold and snowy here to be comfortable at the grill but it still gets some use.
It is the middle of our whitetail deer hunting season. That will keep me busy for some time
with my favorite food related obsession.

In 8 to 10 hours that 3 pounds of marinated meat will become approximately 3/4 pound
of venison jerky. This is my second batch for this season and with 2 deer in the freezers
so far, I have a lot more to make.

There is absolutely nothing better than venison jerky hands down. Just looking at your pic has me drooling.

Ah, so true! I'm suffering through what you call a "Man Cold" right now, and it's no fun. ;D

I'm glad I just finished eating before reading this as it would have made me hungry to the point of being uncomfortable. Sure looks super good. Thanks for sharing.

Venison in the freezer and venison jerky. I can see you are going to have a good fall and winter. My mouth is watering.

Cheers :)

Yep, that venison looks good. Only had venison but the once, when a bloke gave me half a deer. We have a few feral deer running about, but you never see 'em much, just the stuff from the deer farms.

Tel,

You want deer. I'll send you a few hundred. The stretch of road the wife drives to work and the one I used to, has got a section with the most deer hits with cars in New York (USA) state. Between me and her we've taken out 6 with our cars. Not a pretty site. One car was totaled.

Nobody wants to hunt Bambie until it takes out their car. Then it's kill all the deer.

Only this morning we seen about a dozen deer cross in front of us when I took her to work. Not all in the same spot. Saw two dead and when I came back home a small van school bus was on the side of the road with the front left side wiped out. I know it was a deer hit just from the location it happened in.

I take it that down under you have to deal with skippies hitting the cars, right? Figure they could jump over a compact car. :big: Getting a bit of topic here so I'll close.

Cooking on the BBQ? Well why didn't you say so!

Here's my version of the K-Bob:

But did you know you can't make very nice pizzas on the grill?

Gonna build one just like it one of these days. There is something right in a universe that makes the shape of the state of Texas also idea for a smoker!

Cheers,
