Hello everyone,

I get the feeling that this question is a bonehead question, and the answer is probably obvious. That being said.... Since I'm new, and learning I figured I'd ask the pros. I recently had to try and remake a main nozzle for a Honda F500 tiller from back in the 70's. My first attempt was a flop. The second attempt wasn't too bad. I'll let you guys decide if its passable. It could definitely be better. My concerns are the holes on the sides. is the placement critical, or will the ones in the photo work? The nozzle in the center is the original. The one on the bottom was the second attempt, and the top was the bust. Forgive the shoddy photo. It was taken with the cell. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Chris

What was wrong with the original one? I've never known them to wear out.

As GBritnell wisely comments about using the jet again, the jet is probably corroded and with careful cleaning will work again. It will be brass and if it is has run on leaded fuel---- oh, well-- back to an unleaded glass of----------.

Unfortunately to get it unstuck after a day of soaking I had to use a drill bit down the center to break it free. That bugger wasn't going to budge with what was crusted up between the tip and the opening of the carb that it fit through.

So you measured the diameter of the orifice before you drilled it out?

OMG
the center hole is + - important to size BUT the size and location of the metering tube is CRITICALemultion tube.JPG emultion tube.JPG
