Hoglet build help.

I'm in the midst of building the Hoglet engine and am looking for a source of spring material for my kick start spring. Not looking forward to cutting down a six inch wide panel and trying to bend it to shape. If anyone has any advice to give before I take this on l'd appreciate it.

Get your hands on a worn out wacumcleaner. Butch the cord wind up reel out of it and you will find a nice flatspring, if not I can send you some

No vacuum around but you got me thinking about an old leaf blower pull starter out in the garage. I'll dig that up and try using it.

Found pull cord rewind from my old echo leaf blower. Spring size is .157 wide x .015 the. Perfect. Back on track there, but I did a nice job of machining the 10 degree hole in the wrong shaft so I'll fix that tomorrow.
