Hello All!

I am a new member here with a great interest in building model steam engines for use in radio Control boats. I am a Plant manager for a Machine tool manufacturing company and have been in the machining field for 25 years now. Back in June of this year my home shop got completely flooded due to heavy rains and I am still in the process of putting my home shop back together. I just completed the Slim sam single cylinder oscillating engine from Stan Brays book and it runs well. The next project is to construct the boiler then it is on to two cylinder engines.

Welcome Scott. You come to the right place.
Where you located?

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I am located in western Pennsylvania. I will get some pictures of my Slim Sam engine posted and I will also document the build process of the boiler when I get it started.

Rick,

Hey we are neighbors! I live in North Huntingdon ( just a little east of Monroeville)

Scott

I know that area. Nice neighborhoods!

About 25 years ago I worked for a company that was based
in West Homestead. That was a rough area then. I don't
know what it looks like today.
