Hello from Lincoln, Ne

Hello, I just happened to stumble across this site by accident - didn't know it was out there.

I haven't built any engines yet but plan to start real soon in my retirement. Have been going to NAMES for the last 10 years and have seen some pretty amazing things and hope that I can build hit and miss engines half as nice as what I have seen there.

I have a Grizzly lathe and mill and anything I do will be self taught.

So I expect I will brousing around here looking for a lot of information, I'm not even sure if I did this posting right!

Hi Larry, welcome to HMEM. I was born and raised about 60 miles east of Lincoln, in Southwest Iowa. Sounds like you are about my age if you are retiring soon.

Many of us are trained and experienced machinist and many are self taught.
