Greetings one and all, just a quick introduction, I am Andy, I am 40 odd, and new to model making, tho not quite so new to metal working, I have a Clarke combi lathe and mill a clm500 i think, it is not CNC, it has no DRO, its as basic as it comes. I will post photos soon.
I have just moved houses, and the new house did not have a place to put a workshop, no garage, no spare room downstairs, (right now hold on to your sides) so i have had to resort to setting my 'workshop' up is an upstairs bedroom, that used to belong to a little girl, it has 'lovely' pink wall paper and curtains!!
well the majority of it is upstairs, the welding plant, furnace, and compressor are downstairs in the cupboard under the stairs as there is just no room as yet upstairs, shelving and cupboard space are desperately needed:
( needless to say its a little cramped, but its a means to an end, and is only temporary, as we are looking to move to the USA (the Mrs is American)
I joined this group just about a week ago, and have had a good look around and i have liked what i have seen and read, so much so it has given me the relevant kick that I needed to motivate me into making one of those little rocker engines, and almost finished with a flame eater, just got the base plate to do, i had started the flame eater a few years ago (i made the flywheel) and now its almost complete, will it run...... time will tell.
Well I think I have said enough
Andy
