Hi every one I'm new here very expierianced in modifying race motors custom kits bolt on parts etc but have No IDEA about machining well a few bits

So basically what I want to do is over size valves by 1mm it's on a b16 a2 head
I've been looking at these new way valve kits but have no idea on sizes angles etc I can't seem to find info on if the replacement valves are same std angles etc

Is there a recourse on the net I can read up on this subject I can't seem to find one ?

WHAT D O I DOOOO?

Thanks for any help whoever can

I'm new but used to work for a Honda Marine dealership and know the insides of engines well so....

Honda themselves may well be able to supply a valve seat cutter but not sure it'll stretch to +1mm, I never had to use one. +0.5mm was available as a standard oversize for a lot of engines though. Expect a long wait for any Honda special tool.

Basically though you will need to establish the minimum diameter at the throat of the valve seat and centre it in a mill. (I'm not even going to begin trying to describe the setup because it's going to take far more time than any actual machine running time)You will then need to cut it using whatever method you desire (if it was me I'd be using a small flycutter) and follow up with the valve seat cutter finishing off with time honoured lapping of valves.

Now as to angles, well if they were 3 way valves I'm sure they'd be keen to say so, although there is nothing stopping you grinding your own 3 angles with suitable tooling and machining the head to suit, and while you're at it maybe a little stem waisting...
