Hall effect sensor

How can I test my Hall effect sensor to see if it's alright or broken? My diode light is not lighting. Boot

Hi Boot,
I have found that they either work or they don't. When my ignition quits it's always the Hall sensor.

Hi Boot,

There are a multitude of hall devices ! Find the data sheet for the type you have, most have a circuit for testing them.

Thanks gentlemen , but I got it working again. Enginemaker told me to jumper across 2 of the leads and it started up again. It must of reset something in the electronic circut. Whatever it does it works.
