Hello,

I want my fly cutter back.

So the person(s) who nicked it – please return it. No questions will be asked. :-X

2 years ago I had 2, I know where 1 is (or was). Now the only one I had has gone walkabouts.

And I would like to say these were not rubbishy bought ones these were the ones I made.

Does anyone else have these problems or is it just me.

Dave

I have the same problem at home in my hobby shop.

Mark most of those losses up to my ever shrinking memory. :D
I'll find those tools when I don't need them.

Interestingly enough, I do not have that problem at work.
My machinist tools are in my locked office, in a locked tool boxes with a spare key locked in my desk.

However, everyone in the Maintenance Department has a key to my office.
They all know the lock on my desk is broken and it can be opened with a screwdriver.
They also know the spare key to my tool boxes is in the top right desk drawer.

Sure they use my tools! I've told them how to get to them and they are returned every time.

Strange Eh?

Rick

Tighten the vice on the milling table

Remove vice handle

Check alignment

Spend the next hour looking for the vice handle

Loosen vice

Remove vice handle

Re-align part

Spend the next hour looking for the vice handle

And so on ad-infinitum

Who said I was a slow learner.................I've only been doing this and similar mind stretching activities for 52 years.

Best Regards
Bob

Hi Bob,

You don't remove the vice handle - just leave it sticking out. ;D

What a big softy :big:

I bet you wear steel toe capped safety shoes in your workshop :big:

(pulling your leg)

The only safety thing I take into the workshop is a gun just in case a lion decides to pop in.

The gun is loaded with blanks just to scare it off.

Scarey eh!

Dave

Jeff,

Now thats a good point, it could have been a monkey.

Naa - the dog always chases them off. ;D

Someone nicked it

This was the better one of the two. ;D
