Hello all,
Thought I'd show off my first engine.
As many of you may already recognize, it's a Jerry Howell design "Miser" low temperature differential stirling. After a bit of minor tuning it runs pretty well. Not quite on the heat from my hand but close, It ran for 45 minutes on a bowl of water starting at 180 deg F and finally stopped at 108 deg F. I'll probably tune some more after it runs in a bit.
It's always fun seeing a pile of parts come alive, and it's even a bigger thrill :big: when that pile of parts was a bunch of chucks not so long ago.
P.S. I highly recommend Jerry's plans to anyone.
Ken
