Hi,
My first post and my first engine, I have used a lathe for making model boat fittings for a few years but this is the first time I have tried proper metal work. I have been trying to digest the information on this site for a few weeks. I found the plan on the internet and tweaked it a bit to go with the materials I had to hand.
It ran it for the first time today on compressed air, a few tweaks here and there and it now runs quite smoothly on just a few psi.
It's a Christmas gift for my father in law, I am making a small boiler to go with it.
My aim is to build steam engines to fit in model warships. Very pleasing to see something you made work, I'm hooked !
