I hope I am not the only person that has this problem, but with my skills on the computer, I could very well be. :( :(

I log onto HMEM about three times a day. Each time I log on, I click on "show unread post since last visit".

This morning I was enjoying the video of MB's single engine. It happens to be the first post on the bottom of the list. The list was quite long. When the video was done, I mistakenly clicked on the "X" on top of the screen. Sometimes this is necessary and sometime it is not. I think I know which is which, but don't always think before I click. This took me right out of HMEM and back to the main screen. When I got back into HMEM all the new post were gone.

My question is: How do I find that list of "today's posts" again. I know some of them show up in the left hand column, but that is only a partial list.

Is there a way you can IDIOT PROOF this program for people like me so that I don't loose the posts until I mark them "as read"? ??? ??? ???

I'm having a problem too. Recent Posts works but when I go to any of the folders it takes me to the no unread posts page. It was happening at home and now at work too

Hi Putput

If you scroll down the menu on the left to the pane that's called "User" there is a line saying "show unread". Clicking on this may solve your problem. I will note that I don't know if this will bury you in EVERY POST from the beginning of the board that you may not have read... if so, you've got a lot of catching up to do :big:

Cheers, Joe

Joe, thought you had the answer, but I tried that and it only shows the posts since my last "log on". That works the same as the message on top of the screen.
Thanks for the input.

If you go to the bottom of the home page and scroll to the bottom to the FORUM STATS section, you will find a line that says view the most recent posts on the forum. If you click on that, it will show the last 100 posts. Maybe that will help.

Gail, thank you.
That is exactly what I was hoping for. Maybe if I live long enough, I'll get proficient on these machines.

As well as Gail's suggestion, when you are on the page of recent unread posts, there is a text reading something to the effect of "all unread topics" (not entirely sure of the wording) that presumably would get you the result you are seeking. Please do note however that my computer expertise is only exceeded by my good looks, (and I'm damned ugly!:big:)
