I have!! There are many posts archived here showing things that I have built and powered with my home built model engines. As I look around my office I can see The Slinky Machine, the Jacobs Ladder Elevating Staircase, the Piledriver, the Piston pump, the Gear Pump, the Marble Machine, the Nodding Donkey Oilwell pump, the Buzz-Saw the Logsplitter, the sawmill, theBubble blowing Machine, the cone clutch, and the Gearless Mechanism.---Brian

A bunch of us put them to work.
I have built 10 Gauge one IC powered locomotives as well as quite a few steam powered devices and have flown a couple of aero engines.
