These discs are used to cut concrete and are used by various government departments and contractors. Often when they are worn out (usually unevenly) they are scrapped. The cutting segments contain industrial diamond chips and make ideal grinding wheel dressers.
With a 4" angle grinder cut out a section.
And remove the gloss etc. Should be you tube video in here somewhere.
The segment im using here i have been using for 18 years and hardly shows any sign of wear.
