Talked to one of the local car club members here in the Detroit area today and have been invited to go to Cobo Hall next weekend. They have agreed to provide me a 6 foot table to display the engines. I am going to take the V4, V8 , and the compressor engines down. I will be down all day Saturday talking to people, passing out NAMES fliers and wrangling people over to Daves setup to purchase Autorama swag. If you find yourself down at the show, stop by and say hello.

Are you going to be there all weekend
Ive been trying to find info on NAMES out of luck, can you please help:)

I think it was Bill from the Road Knights that used to have a bunch of miniature working cars back when we displayed with them. One of these days I need to find all those old pictures.

I would love to see the pictures. I will be with Dave Zimmerman and the Motor City Modified Auto Club.

Mike Danko from NAMES asked me about 2 years ago if I would want to display at the Autorama. About 10 years or so they used to setup and show models and even run them. The autorama people approached him about getting the models back down there. He wanted 10 people and could not get the amount of people to do it. Last year there was a new fire marshall and he wouldn't allow any fuel into the hall so no engines wouln't have run anyway.
