I have the book.
Rather stunning 2nd generation model engine builder she was.
Her work is in a league of its own, I think.
RIP Cherry.

Her work has gone a long way in inspiring me to improve my model engine building game a bit.
She really set the bar very high with her fantastic blend of artistry and engineering.
If I can improve my work 1% towards her design standards, that is an significant improvement for me.
As I mentioned, her work is just stunningly impressive.

I spoke to her at the model engineering show at Sandown park December 2005. She had plenty of her models on show and her workmanship was outstanding.

Very sad to hear this. She was an inspirational friend and one of the Christmas gang who met at my London flat each night of the ME Exhibition for supper.
RIP. She and Ivan Law were forever trying to work out the workings of patent drawings she had found of engines she wanted to build.

I was fortunate to have breakfast with her and her husband during a Midland's show. A year later, he sent me a cutoff tool holder he made for me. I found her to be a very charming and warm person. Way out of my league in Model Engineering!

Not near as famous as Cherry, but a prominent engine builder, Dr. George Genevro passed away at the age of 102 on 11/16. George was the machine tool prof at Cal State long Beach and owned Gemaco, a foundry casting project kit supplier. I purchased many of his Tital 60 airplane engine kits to challenge my better students. The last known Titan kit was completed by Mark Presling on his YouTube channel in 2023.

I have never heard of Dr. Genevro. Did he have a website? When did he quit manufacturing?
