Have you noticed that some people change their avitars (is that the right term for the picture next to your post?).

I won't mention any names, but just when I got use to the sqeezed fish, something else pops up.

I have no recollection of that event

Edited why not

Avitar is a pic of my 1966 Honda CL77 that I spent about 10 years restoring from the basket case of pieces that managed to hang on to since I bought it in 1966. Kids were growing up so working on it gave me the much needed "Garage Time" Put about 700 miles on it since done some 10 years ago. The fun was the work, now-a-days the parts are so expensive I dread falling down coupled with the issue that I look so silly on it that it sits in the garage. Once in a while on a warm day Ill take it for a Putt Putt around the island.

If you are feeling kind of blue and miss troutsqueezer just head on over to yuotube and watch his video!
It is at the end of it and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!! ;D

Here is a linky thing for extra quick reference and instant gratification!

I hadn't noticed yet Pat...but sure enough that poor little fish is gone. Got to admit that's a nice looking engine that took its place though. Hopefully the little fish got his breath again and is now happily swimming in a nice quiet pond or stream somewhere. :big:

I've thought about changing my avatar.

But I worry that I won't find myself.

I've mentioned it before...but that little guy to the left is a reminder of my past (overall a pretty good one) and helps me remember the dreams I had a kid.

One of my favorite avatars was Vernon's (blackened face from a derailed loco). It was very close to a cartoon I'd made of myself long ago. But the blackened face was from an electronic circuit that went...er...'haywire'.

Ah...now you've gotten me nostalgic. That can only lead to tears - both happy and sad. Good thing I'm not playing OMD or Annie's Song. Yes...I'm a sap. Don't get me started with 'Mary Poppins'.

I have a mental condition, brought on by years of working for the company I do. :'( Here, everything is always in a constant state of flux. Nothing is done the same way twice. If you slow down or refuse to change, you are no longer competitive and you will die, so to speak. *bang*

This carries over into my hobbies and even to my avatar. I can't just let things be, can't let things ride. I need more than 'good enough'. Each avatar is better than the last. Each video is better than the last. I know...in reality one's not better than the other and it's all imaginary but I'm trained to think new, better, different, stay ahead of the pack. I'm trying hard to wind that mentality down, preparing for when I retire (about 5 years before Zee, I think... :big:). I'm edging back into the normal world. In fact, I'm on my way to the fridge now, for a cold beer. That'll help. ;D
