Can you ID these castings?

I've always kinda wanted to build a model engine, and I ran across an old timer who had this, probably incomplete, set of castings. I'd really like to ID the kit if at all possible. I could always wildcat something, but it'd be nice to use the castings the way they were intended. Almost everything is brass, I see no markings to indicate manufacturer.

So, Help?

I've got the gears, just didn't picture 'em.

Would you believe I got to these just before a guy who wanted to melt them down for the brass? I may not get to work right away, but better to wait than to let them get melted.
