Hi chaps,

I came accross this video on youtube the other day and it has been a goal of mine to build something pretty much identical but with my own style of body and chassis.

https://youtu.be/XYPq9uu6zC0?t=24s

Although it's only a 4 cyclinder it sounds really nice and I figure it'd be easier than a V8 given the limitations of machinery I have at my disposal.
I contacted the uploader but heard nothing back, are there any plans for an engine that looks similar?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hello Neil

The engine looks to me as if it might be based on a 'Gypsy 1' designed by the late Les Chenery.

I built one many years ago from his castings.

After looking at many pictures I think i'll have to agree that it is the gypsy 1, interesting he decided to put it in a car rather than propellor as many seem to.

I see the plans are available from his son John Chenerybut he doesn't provide castings. Does anyone actually sell the castings? Saw a brief mention for a limited set which were £500

Seems they're a bit of a holy grail and the Cirrus seems a viable option, as does the panther pup. They all seem rather similar, are there any specific differences?

Hello Neil.

I don't know about the Panther Pup, but I believe the Cirrus was published in Strictly I/C and I suspect castings are available somewhere.
