Hi All,

What camcorders do the different members use and recommend for mostly use in the shop and posting on YouTube ? Budget is somewhat flexible. I have a GoPro Hero 2, but it picks up the flicker from the florescent lighting. I may be doing something wrong.

I just use my iPhone 6. It has zoom, slow motion and a host of other features I haven't even worked out yet.

You could try changing the frame rate on your GoPro - that should stop it from being in sync with the fluro flicker. Do a test run on each setting and see which works best (don't forget to try PAL as well, you can always convert it later if you want to watch it on a TV).

Thanks Guys,

I'll try both tips with iPhone and Go Pro.

Lighting is a key aspect of getting good videos! You might benefit from flood lights that are fluorescent. Go Pro's have decent reputations so I wouldn't spend more money on new cameras.

Thanks all for the help. Got the settings on my I phone changed and that solved the poor video problem, especially on YouTube. Got Go Pro set ,too. Won't be needing any upgrades.
