Cant believe this !!!!!!!!!After the other fridays set to when i blew the motor on my pillar drill, then bust the new blade in the power hacksaw not 5 mins later ,then on the Sunday dropped my phone and that fell apart ,manged a few days with no issues .Got in the shop for an hour this eve ,clasping the material for the new project ,bit of hss to grind up and bang flashthe grinder is buggered now !!!!!!!only had it 20 years :D.Had a tear down and yes its shot to bits in the windings .

So whats the "collectives" oppinion on the replacement 8" or 6" ??

any manufacturers to avoid ?

machine mart seem to do an half right 8" one .

 
CB, given your recent misfortunes I'd take up knitting fog........

As for a new grinder, I believe you get what you pay for..

Had a bench grinder form MM and it vibrated like bu**ery on start up took it back and asked for a refund...

Look at the record ones you get a 5 years warratty and i think i know a place or some one that can get you one on staff ::)
