That has happened to me a few times. I am a agricultural mechanic and often when looking for a mechanical , hydraulic or electrical problem on a tractor or some machine some farm worker walks up and has to tell you how to do it most of the time they are way off the mark but on occasion they hit the nail right on the head and make you feel about 1 inch tall
I think the problem can some times be to much knowledge is a bad thing you go in all guns blazing thinking you can go straight to the problem and single mindedly get carried away on the wrong rout. Instead of starting at the beginning with the simple things.
