I am just starting the Atkinson Differential engine. I have the Gingery book and have started making the patterns for the castings. Apparently there have been other plans produced over the years. I can find references but I cannot find actual plans. Does anyone know where other plans are available or have plans they would like to share or sell?

The plans in the Gingery book are rather hard to follow because some of the details are on the pattern drawings and some are on the machining drawings. My plan at this time is to redraw the engine in CAD in a manner easier for me to use.

I have modeled this engine up in CAD haven't built it yet I did d a Atkinson cycle engine though. I plan on building it sooner or later but will be all hogged out from solid and not made with patterns and forged although I would like to give that a try.

My first thought was to make it from solid also but I found a local foundry which specializes in small batch job shop items. I thought I would give it a try mostly because I have never done it. I really do not have much wood working equipment so trying to use hand tools and metal working tools is slow. It is more to have a new experience than a better way.
