For the past three years Ken Eder (web site = www.edervillenc.com )has graciously opened up his collection of traction engines and a whole host of tractors, tracked vehicles trucks cars and toys for the public. It's a full weekend of live steam demonstrations, including his saw mill, traction plowing exhibitions, steam tractor pulling and a miniature railway for the kids to ride.
He's holding the event the last weekend of October 2008. I'm going to be there, along with George Seal and possibly Zeuzrekning along with a couple of other avid steamers. If it's within driving distance, I highly recommend trying to attend the event.
Here are a few photos of a "few" of the engines he's collected. I have no idea of how many pieces he owns, but suffice it to say its a total sensory overload.
If anyone is going, perhaps we can coordinate a bit so we can meet up.
