Any hobby machinist clubs/classes in the San Fernando Valley?

I live in the San Fernando Valley. I would love to attend a hobby machinist class or join a club so that I could learn "hands on" from others. I am aware of SCHISM , but for various reasons (driving distance and my walking disabilty) it is not a convenient option for me.

So, does anyone know if there is something available in the SFV?

Can't do anything about the driving distance but I'll point out that the El Camino campus, where SCHSM meets, has handicapped parking within a few hundred feet of the meeting building and said building has an elevator to reach the basement where the shop is located.

To the best of my knowledge we're the only machining oriented club in the greater LA area. (If I'm wrong on that - and I wish I were - I'd love to be corrected.)
