A fellow HMEM member, Dave (a.k.a. deverett) pointed me in the direction of a local model show in Monagear (in Wicklow, Ireland) yesterday. Dave - I didn't get to see you at your stand (you were AWOL), but I loved your engines! Sorry if I've pipped you to the post with photos, but thought I'd share a few.
I particularly liked this one because it moved very nicely - Dave - can you let me know where you got your plans for it? My Stuart Twin has come to a standstill, so a side-project would keep me amused.
This is a marshall 1910 engine built by Richard Howlett from 1992 - 2002 (which is pretty good going!):
This is a (poorly framed) shot of Dave's engines, all working hard in front of a prominent HMEM banner:
Pic of a little engine inside a finely made riverboat model:
Pic of a cheddar engine inside a beautiful boat made in pear:
A chunky sterling(?) engine. It's engines like this that make me wish I had large machinery at my disposal:
A lovely Garrett engine:
A very fine model Case engine by R.A. Dennis, Plymouth 2007:
