At 5:00PM this evening my 50 hour week was finally coming to an end.
One of the young guys of 2ed shift was trying to modify a tap driver to fit
into a part. I walked out of the locker room and he yelled,
"Hey Rick, come look at this!"
He said he had screwed the jaws into what he thought would be close without
scaling them in, stuck the part in and snugged the jaws up.
He turned the chuck and the part ran out .005" He was all grins.
I patted him on the back and told him:
"Don't be discouraged, you'll get better at it as the years come."
He told me to GO HOME, that was my plan in the first place! :big:
