6 Cycle Internal Combustion Engine

This one always fascinated me - the 1895 Mery engine. 6-cycle.....I think.

I cut out a connecting rod and added a brass bushing in the piston end.
This is the way I cut off the caps on the main and rod bearings after the bolt holes are drilled.


Everything even fit and in line.


Next I will take it all apart and do some filing, some polishing, and make some cross beam supports with rubber feet.

All back together and shined up.


I received the helical gears and the driven gear is big that's because of the 3 to 1 gear ratio.
I will have to do some special machining to make them fit and still get the flywheel on the shaft.
