I made a lot of money on a round column Jet years ago. Still have it and use it. Sometimes I push it to hard and think I need something different. But to be truthful, I have more time than money and can make it do what I want.
Yep. I usually go for one day also. I am a member of the Stump Lake Tractor Club and help with that every year. Our show is just south of Lakota. We do 2 or 3 antique tractor pulls each year. We also have a swap meet in the fall.
Wow, way above my pay grade. I am extremely impressed by the quality of work I see on this forum. Maybe when I can retire I will try a more complex engine. My problem now is to many hobbies and too much work.
I have several Allis Chalmers tractors and am a big fan of everything Allis. Every time I drive through Hurdsfield, I look at the Allis Chalmers sign on the building and wish it was hanging on my shop.
I didn’t look at your link until now. That’s the belts I used. I had to buy two of them to have enough. I tried the serpentine belt and didn’t have much luck splicing it together. If you took apart your headstock it would work good. It did grip good.
Yes, I am using 2 A width belts tied together with 50# braided fishing line. It has been on there for about 8 months of fairly heavy use and so far so good. I have been very happy with it. I bought the belts at Harbor Freight.
