    Demon V8 Crankshaft and Camshaft

I used the lathe to bore mine since my mill did not have enough quill travel to go the length of the block. It worked well though it took longer and required a setup for each hole. Sorry no pictures.

    Grizzly Hand Tapping Machine problem

I have the same unit and the collets remain in the spindle. Do the collets have a small dimple that the ball seats in? Thats the only thing I can think of.

    Ageless 9 and 18 Radial

The cylinder heads are threaded on to the cylinders. To achieve the correct orientation when installed on the crankcase the holes must be drilled in the correct relationship to the intake and exhaust manifold mating surface. This must be done after the cylinder and head are assembled for the...

    Grizzly G0768 (8 x 16) or G9972Z (11 x 26) Lathes?

I built a reverse tumbler for this lathe to cut left handed threads. It was an easy project.

    Grizzly G0768 (8 x 16) or G9972Z (11 x 26) Lathes?

A lower spindle speed would be nice but it hasn’t held me back yet for turning. Concerning threading it’s usually too fast. I made a hand crank that attaches to the back end of the spindle for the situations that require slower speed. By work in progress I meant that these machines always need...

    Grizzly G0768 (8 x 16) or G9972Z (11 x 26) Lathes?

I have a G9972Z. It has been very useable, but like most of these lathes it is also a work in progress.

    Chevy V8 Scale Engine Plane

I used a center. I left the stem 1" long and used a #1 center drill. Trimmed to length. I tried the step method but didn't have much luck.

How to use a Conical Edge Finder

The conical end can also be used to find the center of round stock, such as locating the center of a shaft to cut a keyway.

    Rotary tables from India?

I bought a Grizzly H7527 6" rotary table w/ dividing plates and tailstock (made in India). It required the usual tweaking out of the box but has performed fine since. I used it for parts on my Hodgson 9 cyl. radial engine including all the gears. John

    Offenhauser 270 ???

In my opinion the Hodgson radial has not been at all difficult to build so far. Just building nine single cylinders and putting them on a common crankcase. Detailed plans sure help. Time will tell.
