    WOW I think a " numbers of modifications " is just the begenning . That looks like it looked just like my lathe at one time . I can understand most of the mods , the one that interest's me is the blue box mounted on top of the gear box . Some kind of speed control ? thanks animal

    You may look and see if there is a makerspace in your neck of the woods . The ones I have seen have a small machine shop & have/give lessons on machine work , mostly starting with safety & them moving on to how to make chips & you get to use that machines anytime no one is using them of has them...
