From what I got from Martin when I purchased the castings has some differences from what I got from Mike Remus. Like you I went through all the files, there were some I couldn’t open because of the format or related to Solid Works which I don’t have. After looking at the whole pile of drawings...
I am more curious what the asking price is. I know what I paid for the Black Widow castings which indeed are top notch but without all the details and rough drawings it’s a project I don’t really have time right now to fix. Some day I will once retired.
Well in all honesty I truly believe the responsibility relies on the entity who sells the castings. You can’t truly back something that costs a fair amount of money and not have it complete to where it can be finished.

How long would you need everything?
My only hesitation is if something happens to you I’m out $2k worth of castings.
I can work through the issues at hand but it’s something that’s on the back burner as life, work, and family are always throwing road blocks.

What is your email? I will scan them when I get home and send them to you. They are useless right now so I doubt Martin who sells the castings will have any objection to someone fixing all the errors and actually producing a set of working drawings.
You are making more progress than myself as I haven’t touched the drawings for a while now. Typical on how some of these projects go.
Not sure if you read any of the previous threads but I did draw up the block and heads and just doing assemblies in Fusion I noticed the combustion chambers...
My plan was to take the drawings and redo them in Fusion which I did start. I started with the block and than the heads and noticed that the combustion XO chambers do not line up with the cylinder bores per the drawings, so the heads need redone. The mount holes line up but not the combustion...

I would love to know if you actually have the complete drawings?
I spoke with both Mr Remus and Mr Giles and they are still searching to see if they can find the original drawings.
The gentleman they hired to do the CAD did them with a lot of errors. I can tell you before you machine...
I am working on my own cad drawings. I am starting on the block here shortly and work on drawings for the missing items. I was given a phone number for one of the original designers and I have yet to call him. I have been too busy with my full time job. There are more in the same boat so...
The castings are amazing the drawings, well they need help.
Has anyone built the Challenger engine??
From what I have been digging up so far the Black Widow is almost a clone of the Challenger.
Looking for distributer details, pushrod details, lifter details.
I just recently purchased the castings and drawings for the Black Widow. It seems like there is some information missing. Curious if anyone has details on the distributer drive and rotor? Also looking for pushrod details and well as the lifters. I also don’t see any information on the water...
I own Century Jet Models and make all of my own Air Cylinders. I can make custom sizes as well. Hit me up at [email protected] if you need some cylinders. Process to make them are done mostly on the lathe which I do manually and on the CNC.
I have the plans and cylinder heads. The heads are purchased from Paul Knapp. I will have to dig up his email as he got the molds from Bruce Satra (not sure of the spelling) and is selling castings for the cylinder heads, rocker covers, front nose casting and pistons. I think Paul has more but...
