I did it. I drilled seven holes with a # 70 .028 drill bit. Into a .062 drill rod. Did not brake the bit this time. Thanks for the help. I had the old Bridgeport spinning as fast as it would go.
I have two PM kits. They are nice kits. I have yet to work on them. When I bought them I also bought spare fly wheels. I am using one on my Mine eng by Elmer. I did have to pay for their catalog.
Thanks Lugnut. I think each engine I built has cost over $200.00. By the time I buy the metal and hardware. Then the tooling. Then make the jigs. I have yet to find a cheap hobby.
I have to log in several times also. I have to submit a post 2-6 Times also. It is worth it to have this site. If you have to buy a program lets us know and I will send money. Let me know your home address.
Thank for starting the site.

This is a pic of the ports in Elmers Mine eng.
A #57 drill bit is used on the three holes and the
slots are 1/16 wide and 3/16 long. I still have to cut off one
end and mill the center.
Thanks Rake 60 I will give your tips a try. They only cost .43 but I still do not like braking them.
On your screw slotting method. I use to use a 1/16 end mill but I have bought an arbor and slotting saw. That works better.
