    Hi Tony it looks might it might be the one but can't find the circuit diagram. I have been playing around with many different circuits over the years with various results. I find one of the main problems is the earth has to be really good. Otherwise it blows the P transistor, the hall, or both...

    Hi all, About a week ago I found a transistor ign. System using hall trigger that was stated as fail safe in the event of engine stopping with ign left on. I can't find it now. Any ideas where I can find it people. Thanks All.

    Nice job, love the V twin sound, was this totally freelance or ideas copied from something else. Would love drawings or doodles if available. What ignition,plugs etc?

    Ok all I stand corrected, I didn't realise the engine had asymmetric firing. I still stand by the inclusion of cap and zeners though.

    Two observations. 1 if it's close to high voltage it will blow the tx. 2 I always put a small cap and zener diodes in circuit. I do speak from experience having blown many hall transistors, I now prefer to run the hall transistor from the crank with 2 trigger magnets to keep the transistor well...

    Twin in-line engine

    With regards the snapping of the rings, and I have made many, I use this method, grip the ring with 2 pairs of flat nose pliers ( as close as you can get them) and just snap them I have never broken one yet. try it on a scrap ring
